While we believe strongly in the family, we also acknowledge that needs vary according to age, experience, circumstances, etc. In these last days, we desire to develop and strengthen young people in their personal walk with God.
We want young Christians to understand that the Christian life is to be enjoyed not just endured, that it is a life of excitement, not drudgery. At the same time, our focus will not be on worldly pleasure and allurements, but on a “higher ground” life that seeks to honor the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
In an ever-changing world our young people are faced with issues that challenge their faith every day. Constantly bombarded with the world, the flesh, and the devil, young people need to know how to stay strong.
At Cornerstone we strive to preach and teach the scriptures in a practical fashion to our teens. While still emphasizing doctrinal and historical truths, we believe some of the best “help” for the young people of today is to teach practical and spiritual precepts for them to use in their everyday life.
And yes… we have fun too!
